We purchased premium economy seats 9 months ago and got bumped to economy when we tried to board the plane. It was a huge fiasco while they struggled to find us seats. I tried reaching out to Kayak to see how we can get refunded for the extra money we spent on premium but have heard nothing back. It was a 14 hour flight and were disappointed that we lost our seats after selecting them 9 months ago.
Flight was overall OK: lovely staff and smooth travelling. The only downside was no food was available on a 3.5 hour flight over lunchtime. Luckily we had realised this in advance and brought our own bento.
The whole flight in Economy was great, the crew were just amazing and the food was great as well
They did not have vegetarian options, but the staff did their best to accommodate me and hand wrote an apology and the number to call 24 hours before I get on the flight next time.
Lots of legroom for a small flight. There was in flight entertainment even though it is a short duration. We waited on one passenger to board for a long time after everyone else was on.
Domestic flight, 1hr 20mins from SFO to LAX, which takes about probably 40-30mins on air.
The seats are too small for international flights. I felt like cattle.
As my first experience in business class it was a great trip considering how long the flight is and how hard it usually is to sleep in economy
Boarding was fast and efficient. Not a cramped plane and good comfort. Food was great and attendants were very nice.
A great flight experience - great seats, lots of ROOM for legs & in the aisle. Great attendants! My flight cost me the same as ZipAir, the website was WAY less confusing & wonky - this will be my 1st choice for my next Japan trip. Very pleased / well cared for.
Underpricer was terrible. They wanted to charge me $150 for a seat asignment. Kayak is responsible for letting this happen. Please let me know if this is going to happen in the future. If it is i will not use kayak in the future.
Checking in was hard because we had to enter our middle name with our first name and wasn’t told to. The representative from underpricer investigated it and called me back. We were very appreciative for him.
Food was excellent, the crew was exceptionally friendly, and the seats were comfortable. Bathroom were also kept very clean and odor free.
Good legroom. Front seatback has best compartmentalization, netted pockets on sides of tv monitor for eyeglasses, water bottles etc. For Economy, best food across the Pacific. JAL doesn't skimp on quality to squeeze out more profit. No prepackaged items in plastic wrap. Cocktail service first with nibbles, Wine in your own 2 glass bottle. Later dinner service, more wine! Lastly, breakfast-lunch, more wine if you choose. Lastly, the friendliest most smiling crew across the Pacific.
Minimal legroom. Most passengers are respectful and don't recline. Outrageous long walk from Terminal One to Terminal Three.
Good, not excellent. We’re not informed about mattress pads in business class. My partner ordered food and didn’t get it
I said the boarding was just par with other airlines, but I can't think of a way to improve it.
The self-baggage at Narita provided by JAL only worked for half my baggage, but the staff present at the counter were very quick to provide assistance. When I arrived in Vancouver, after waiting for ~25 minutes at the baggage carousel, a staff member with a JAL badge quite rudely came up and told me that there was no more baggage coming to the carousel, and I should double check that the baggage that wasn't mine, just in-case my baggage had somehow changed into a different one. After ~3-5 minutes more baggage came out onto the carousel, which included mine.
everything was great except for the plane itself looking worn out.
Bars and restaurants in Taipei close early. The lounge isn’t very good, but better than the public areas.
Short lay over. Seat assignment was terrible. Was traveling as a family and end up being seated separately. Will not use underpricer ever again.
All of the staff were very helpful, polite I was very satisfied with China Airlines The food was normal for airlines but I’m sure they could do better

Comfort was left wanting due to such a long flight, made the wife and I wish we could upgrade the seats to Business class or First Class, but did not have that option. Food was good but had very limited options and I have a dietary restriction which was difficult for the staff to accommodate since everything provided came with cheese on it. (Cheese could potentially kill me) Did not have an option to inform the staff until we were already in the air about the restriction and was not provided another option before flight departed.
Decent flight, staff was very good, especially with the turbulence during the flight due to weather. Comfort was about par with other airlines but since it was a quick flight, was not much of an issue for us.
The plane was uncomfortable. I paid extra for more legroom but the seat was still uncomfortable. Other seats on the same exact row didn’t have to pay extra but still have extra legroom. I didn’t understand why I needed to pay $170 for. It was Iike China airline just wants to make money off their passengers. It was unfair.
Mediocre. Nothing special. Bad airline food Never received the food I requested Slow response from ground staff concerning my wheelchair. I was left at a holding area and had to walk the distance to the gate. In Hong Kong
The crew is amazing, very attentive. They went above and beyond when we had a small spill. the food on this trip was not nearly as good as other Cathay flights. The economy seats are very comfortable, but when the person in front of yo reclines, you need to recline to see your screen or be comfortable.
From Chicago to Hong Kong was great., but from Hong Kong to manila we had hard time looking for the gate of our connecting flight. There wasn’t hardly any sign.
Cathay Pacific handle my plane delay very well. I will book with Cathay Pacific again in the future trips.

Both my husband and I ordered the fish for dinner and we both got sick and throwing up on the plane. I don’t think the seafood was handled properly and I for sure will not order fish the next time around.

Dinner was served at the wrong time as soon as we boarded. Most were sleeping.. there was no food service carts for hours. We had to specifically ask for water, snacks etc. for the 15 hour plus flight, there should have been 3 meals served. Instead we only got the breakfast 1 hour before landing. Will try other airlines like Qatar for future travels.
No proper procedures or announcements for boarding. Not even water was served on flight. Could not check in on line. This option was not available .

Great ride! arrived safe and sound. Everything was great altho its still uncomfortable seats too small space to pass through in.
Not much legroom in economy seats and aisle. Bathrooms are not maintained well. Staff can be friendlier. Food is barely edible.
The PAL employee who assisted my minor children went above and beyond her job and our expectations! Sophia was kind, courteous and made sure my children were taken care of!
Service was good but food needs maybe it’s just me Cause I am a foodservice supervisor more menu Sampling to get better quality when packed to be reheated . Vegetables are already dark and over cooked and breaded entrees are not the best choice I guess . All airlines meal service doesn’t appeal To me.Cause this trip I’ve used 4 different airlines and nothing good in all of them food wise. Thanks

They were two hours late!! Threw everything else planned off.
Flight was cancelled and rescheduled to 205 in the morning at the peril of passengers. No hotels provided by the airline. Passengers left stranded at airport. Not acceptable. I was able to get a hotel at my own cost outside of the airport. No reimbursement. Won’t be my choice in for future travels.
Worst airline. They had 3 security checks just to get onboard and no notification prior. Had to throw away any liquid bought at duty free because one of the security checks was prior to boarding the plane. My onboard media console was not working, the flight attendant said they will check on it but did nothing. Pretended we did not ask for it to be rectified for a 17hr plane ride. Horrible experience. My first and last time taking Philippines Airlines.
Uncomfortable seats for international flights. No usb charging yet they want you to use your device for entertainment. Very poor.
