Pros:Staff were lovely location great, no car park but you can park in train station car park with 20% off bit of a walk though. Close to royal mile and amenities

Pros:Hilton are our Hotel Group of choice. I just thought this one to be overly expensive probably only justifying itself because of its proximity to the Old Town and the Royal Mile. The bedroom and bathroom were small and the rest of the hotel just felt like an apartment building. There was no real old-world warmth. As you would expect the staff were very friendly and helpful.My final gripe was that the parking was public and some distance away down a hill and some very steep steps.This,I concede however,is probably the case with most Edinburgh hotels.
Cons:The price and the lack of old-world charm.

Pros:Location was great. Restaurant has a great breakfast buffet. Staff was accommodating. Pool and spa area was nice.
Cons:Thought the spa men's room can be tidied up and cleaned better.

Pros:The staff at the reception and in the bar were very friendly and informative and the hotel is in a great location.
Cons:Everything seemed tired and needed updating. The AC in the room was broken. There was no iron in the room, which is something I have never heard of in a 4* hotel. The bathroom door would open onto the toilet. There was no conditioner in the room. The towels felt and looked very well used & we encounter a very rude waitress while having breakfast on Sunday. Also, a man was assaulting a woman in the reception area and it took hotel guests to break it up before the staff did.
